Sasheer Zamata has been making everyone laugh throughout her comedy career, most recently with her new show “Home Economics” on ABC. But not only is she a talented performer, but she also makes green look great, as seen in one of her latest Instagram posts.

In a recent photo shoot at the Topanga Dome — a 1974 Geodesic home set in the Fernwood neighborhood — Zamata looks stunning in a FARM Rio two piece while laying on an avocado green sectional, surrounded by rich wood furniture and a large fiddle leaf fig plant. In her caption, the comedian jokes a thought many have felt during the pandemic: “Me trying to decide if I still want to go out after I finished getting ready.”

Zamata brings style into the space through her geometric outfit and bright orange heels, both of which complement a nearby orange throw, beeswax candles, and patterned throw pillows. And it all pops against the most purchase-worthy item in the room: the avocado green couch.

“Stay in and let me crash on that couch!!” one commenter wrote, with many of the comedian’s fans and friends using the fire emoji, which can be assumed is for Zamata’s outfit and the overall decor.

The couch is not linked in the post, but it looks very similar to the Napa Velvet Left-Facing Sectional Sofa from Poly and Bark. It’s described by the brand as both “spacious” and “exceptionally stylish,” with modern lines, tapered walnut-toned legs, and sloping arms. It’s built for longevity and can fit in both smaller apartments and larger entertaining spaces.

The couch, available in distressed green velvet and two other swatches, retails for $1,799. But if you’re interested in sprucing up your space for cheaper, check out this deep velvet green sleeper sofa and chaise from Wayfair ($789.99).

It’s official: avocado belongs on more than just toast, and is not just a ’70s trend.
