Scandiphone Looks as Cool as It Sounds

Obviously the trend in America is heading towards people abandoning their landlines in favor of an exclusively mobile home. It's pretty much a given with the younger generation that nobody has landlines, but even my parents, who didn't have internet in their house until last summer, abandoned the cell-only lifestyle years ago. Still, every once in awhile a phone comes along that is so good looking, so sleek and so damn sexy that it makes me want to take on a phone bill. Ok not really, but would you guys think it was really lame to have a sexy phone that doesn't work sitting on my desk?

We love the way that Design Shop UK describes their 60s-era-retro product:

...this upright Swedish phone was all the rage amongst style-conscious chatterboxes.... simply admire its sexy lines and cast your mind back to an era when Grace Kelly and Cary Grant ruled the world.

We want it! At just over $62, the Scandiphone is available in red, cream, orange, black and brushed chrome. Check it out and order one from the UK here. But after the expense of the phone, shipping and the phone package we're going to have to bundle together, it might be wise to just stick to our mobile. That, or we could just get it anyway and hope nobody ever has a reason to use the thing.
