S(ch)austall by FNP Architekten
We’re a bit slow on the draw with this one, but we had to share this little house with you anyway. By Stuttgart’s FNP Architekten, the house is made up of 21st-century guts within an 18th-century shell…
Awarded the 2005 Architectural Review Award for Emerging Architecture, the house was built off-site and inserted into the fragile existing structure. The result is a modern new wood interior with a charming, albeit crumbling, exterior. See more on S(ch)austall (that’s German wordplay with pigsty and showroom) at the FNP Architekten website.
