Inspiration from Studio 3

Inspiration from Studio 3

Ithink it's wonderful that we live in a world where cleverly screen-printed tea towels are now a classic item to have in one's home. How lucky are we that there are so many talented designers producing such wonderful items? I've fallen extra-in-love with a company out of Austin making some tongue-in-cheek and cute items.

Perfect for the kitchen, divine for the bathroom and even great for other rooms of the house, Studio 3 is perfecting the combination of tea towels that both give reference to historical styles and look toward the future with modern designs. But it's not just tea towels they're creating, I've spotted napkins and other cloth items. My possible all-time favorite design — a large mustache on the shape of Texas — would make for a delightful addition to a home in any state, but you can find other lovely motifs like bikes, birds and retro-inspired patterns.

It's not just fun designs that makes me love Studio 3 and their products; they're also eco-friendly, too. They print their designs on a mixture of reclaimed vintage pieces and organic cotton, and they do the printing with environmentally-friendly inks. You can find Studio 3 products at local Austin stores Finch and Sanctuary.

Are you a fan of cleverly-illustrated tea towels in the home? Who's your favorite designer? What's the best tongue-in-cheek design you've seen yet? Let us know!
