Make Sure Your SLR Wears His Seat Belt Camera Straps

It kind of makes sense in a metaphorical way: We use seat belts to keep ourselves and our loved ones safe while we're riding in cars. Why couldn't we use seat belts, manufactured to of course include all tastes with colors of the rainbow, to keep our beautiful (ahem—and expensive) cameras safe?

Seat belt camera straps from the store look wildly retro and as an added bonus can show off a little green attitude. Each one is made from a reclaimed seatbelt.

Handmade by Souldier, who's made guitar straps for Wilco and TV on the Radio, they're 2" wide and can stretch to 3 1/2 feet long.

Besides being "super strong" and "super funky," these belts can color-coordinate. They come one for $20 or two for $35 in your choice of the wonderfully retro colors of Porsche Purple, Mercedes Gold, T-bird Teal, and Dodge Silver. If you have a camera that you treat like a baby, get it some human-grade protection here and buckle up your camera!
