If actress Selma Blair is posting an Instagram photo or video from her kitchen, she’s likely sitting in one of her orange kitchen chairs. They’ve become her costars on the app, and people in her comments section can’t quite get enough of them. On one post, a fan even created their own hashtag: #lovetheorangefauxbamboochairs. They’re both timeless and eclectic.

Blair’s orange chairs are a modern take on the classic Chinese Chippendale style that was popular in the mid-20th century. This style of chair features a faux bamboo structure, latticed back which was often styled into an arched design.

However, Blair’s are latticed vertically and horizontally, rather than on the diagonal (which is more traditional), and are painted a bold orange that pops against the dark teal paint in the background.

A true vintage Chinese Chippendale chair comes with a big price tag. Some full sets on eBay sell for well over $3,000 with single chairs fetching around $300 each. However you can find new versions of the classic design on sites like Overstock and Wayfair. In fact, Overstock is currently selling a set of two chairs in a diamond lattice for $365.39.

Until Blair spills the beans on where she picked up her set of Chippendales, the rest of us will just have to keep saving listings and waiting for the right dupes to drop on the market.
