You Can Copy Selma Blair’s Classic Fruit-Filled Wallpaper
Actress Selma Blair took to Instagram May 4 to post a selfie while rocking a Cecile Caldwell-inspired hairstyle (her character from 1999’s “Cruel Intentions”), and her classic Morris & Co. wallpaper made an impressive cameo. The print is William Morris’ Bird & Pomegranate print, first made famous in 1926, and it’s currently for sale right now at Anthropologie.
“Omg. Cecile stopped by,” Blair captioned her Instagram post. “So nice to see her.”
Bird & Pomegranate is a busy botanical print featuring a cluster of green vines, cut open pomegranate fruits, and the happy birds feasting upon them. It’s available in a variety of different colorways, and Blair seemingly has the charcoal and sage version.
As of right now, Anthropolgie is selling the ‘blue and sage’ and ‘turquoise and coral’ colorways of the classic print. The wallpaper is sold in 32-foot-long and 20.5-inch-wide rolls with the pattern repeating every 24 inches. Anthropologie recommends that you consult a professional wallpaper installer before going gungho as it can be quite the tricky process to install wallpaper on your own if you’ve never done it before.
The two versions of the wallpaper are available in stores, but make sure to call ahead to ensure that your Anthropologie location has this print in stock. Otherwise, you can order online starting May 27 when the retailer updates its stock.
The charcoal and sage colorway, which actually features a deep gray-brown background rather than true black, can be purchased through WallpaperDirect, and similarly costs $206 per roll.
If you choose to take inspiration from Blair and install Bird & Pomegranate in your home, you already have all the confirmation you need that it makes for a great selfie backdrop.
