What tiny homes lack in square footage, they certainly make up for in creative design. Tiny home dwellers have shown that you can make a home out of just about anything, from a renovated school bus to a tiny house perched on the treetops.

And now there’s a vertical tiny house, which sits on a small plot of land in a prime part of Seoul, South Korea. The project, named “seroro” (meaning vertical), is a four-story home with one bedroom, two bathrooms, a full-sized kitchen, dining area, and even a separate marble shower and tub with a spa-like view on the top floor. It was designed by the architecture and interior design firm Smaller Architects, with a focus on the residents’ daily routines.

Each floor is 16 square meters (about 172 square feet) and serves a specific purpose. The ground floor, for instance, is dedicated parking for the couple’s cars, while the first floor is the living room and half bath for guests. Dining takes place on the second floor, where the kitchen is.

The bedroom is on the third floor and has its own private bathroom, while the top floor is a dressing area and bathtub with a window looking out into the trees for ultimate relaxation.

Four stories does mean a lot of stairs, but unlike single-story tiny homes, it affords the couple a little separation when they need it. The couple also gets to enjoy a great view from their top-floor balcony, which rivals the neighboring residential buildings.
