In a small space there may not be a place for a separate play room. But that doesn't mean a play area all their own isn't possible. Try creating a play nook, a corner or part of a room that holds toys, books, and art supplies.

Briana set up a small table and chairs in one corner of the house. Using the IKEA Expedit (a.k.a. the workhouse in kids' rooms) to hold all of her kids toys and books, she easily carved out a play nook in just a corner of the room. We love how Briana organized each of the cubbies in her Expedit. To see more detailed photos of what Briana did, check out her blog Talkin' Chow Playin' House.
