There's just something about these retro appliances that have been popping up all over the place in recent years. Why do we feel that they are so appealing? It's hard to describe. They definitely set a tone in your kitchen, that usual stainless appliances won't be able to match.

You probably have either seen a Smeg fridge on a website or a magazine. They are iconic, colorful, and set themselves apart from the stainless fridges that we're used to. Having a bunch of colorful appliances will probably make your kitchen look like a rainbow, but one will heighten its uniqueness and give an interesting touch to your kitchen.

Now, Smeg Appliances have released the Marc Newson Collection, including gas and induction hobs, built-in ovens. They come in either black, yellow, green, blue, white, and silver. The built-in over has got a nice digital display and costs $1,400. The 5-burner gas hob has either a steel or glass surface. The steel version costs $850 while the glass will set you back $1,250.

The induction range has 4 cooking zones, that are either marked in gray or gold. Each zone comes with a heat indicator with LED display. This cooking range costs $1,100. For now, they are available in the UK at John Lewis, but we're sure that they'll be available everywhere shortly.

If you want a matching Smeg retro kitchen, Smeg makes retro-styled dishwashers, washing machines, and other appliances that will match that fridge. All in all, they all look pretty cool and we'd like to have one of these in our kitchen.
