Established in 1925, Arclinea is a major manufacturer of Italian kitchen cabinets with locations all over the world - and one of them is right here in Chicago. These are the high end modern Italian cucinas of your dreams; all smooth finishes, hidden storage, flush appliances and simple good looks.

But, even though the first impression is minimal and ultra contemporary, there is a definite warmth and a bit of timelessness to the designs that we think sets them apart. We love the built-in wooden dining table that is part of the Convivium collection (shown above) - a solution that makes it feel like the kitchen is all about gathering for a meal (which after all, is a pretty wonderful thing about kitchens!).

For anyone planning a renovation, a visit to the showroom is a worthwhile addition to the to-do list. You never know what you will find: perhaps some display pieces on clearance (some current examples: a sliding door pantry, a great looking stainless prep table and other assorted storage pieces all for a fraction of their original retail price), definitely some ideas to inspire your design direction or just maybe, a whole new kitchen.
