We jealously know that they exist on the West Coast, but we traveled over 20,000 miles roundtrip (20,840 to be exact) to visit Daiso. It is described as Japan's #1 ranking livingware supplier.

Following the dollar store concept, all items are the same price - at the location we visited (Phuket, Thailand) that meant everything was available for 65 baht (just about $2).

A sampling of what 65 baht will buy:

A Pair of Slippers

Health Guards

Pretty Bowls

Three Tennis Balls

Baskets and Plants

and finally...Teddy Bear Rice Molds!

We didn't bring anything to our home from Daiso, but might well have if we hadn't needed to squeeze it into a suitcase...we've still got our fingers crossed for a closer location.
