While we were out and about this weekend, we happened to notice a posted flyer for EcoHaul.

We checked out their website and were pleasantly surprised to find a company that sounds like it not only offers a much-needed service, but does it in a socially and environmentally responsible way. EcoHaul removes, recycles and reuses material hauled from residential and commercial clients. However, after hauling your household and yard debris, unlike other companies who take everything they haul straight to the dump, the Petaluma-based company works to reuse and recycle as much as possible.

Through partnerships with non-profit organizations, schools and other businesses who accept donated goods, EcoHaul averages a rate of between 80 and 90 percent repurposed or recycled material. Their goal is 100 percent.

Sounds like a good deal to us. You get rid of all that stuff that's cluttering up your garage or closets -- or storage unit -- and someone else takes care of getting it to people who can use it.

EcoHaul serves the whole Bay Area.
