Store History

  • Founded: 2009
  • Founded by: Chris and Sue Ellibee

Chris and Sue Ellibee first started visiting Europe together in the 1990s, and they got such a high from shopping during their travels that they made it into a job.

After 10 years of shopping, they decided to open an online store to bring their customers "the best of European crafts, toys, confections, foods, and accessories." The store's selection is small, but it has the feeling of a well curated collection — you get the sense that it's an ever-changing inventory of whatever caught Chris and Sue's eye on their last trip. It's a good source for unique toys and gifts, and might even inspire you to bring the kids on your own family vacation and shopping trip overseas.

When we last perused the site, it was heavy on German and Swiss products, including wooden toys, linens, and chocolates. Here's a glimpse of what's currently available:

  1. French Antique Linens, $15
  2. Turkish Linens, $15
  3. Swiss Post Tote Bag, $78
  4. Swiss Mosaic Design Puzzle, $25
  5. Swiss Wood Transportation Puzzle, $28
