A local favorite, Frog and Toad has a near cult-following among residents of Providence's East Side (and beyond) for its unique and eclectic offerings from around the globe as well as a wide selection of goods by Rhode Island artists.

Filled to the brim with a constantly-changing inventory, the shop is a go-to spot for gifts — and while the packed shelves can require serious browsing, it's pretty much guaranteed that there's something to be found for everyone. Highlights include hand-stitched quilts from Northern India, various sizes of vintage metal letters, hand-crafted knobs and hooks, ceramic wildlife busts, vintage Russian boxes and much, much more. A growing collection of prints, journals, and magnets celebrating Rhode Island and nearby Massachusetts towns — sometimes seriously, often cheekily — designed by store owner Asher Schofield are becoming a local obsession.
