Plastic toys you can feel good about giving your children. It's been awhile since we last looked at the offerings of Green Toys and its very satisfying to see that they've been embraced by consumers and continued to grow. They've expanded their small, but swell collection of toys and branched out into plates and utensils for kids.

Green Toys' products start their lives as milk jugs which are recycled and compose the primary building material for these 100% made in the USA items. The material is called high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and the company calls it "one of the safest, cleanest plastics around." The products are also BPA-free and have passed a host of safety tests. Equally important, their packaging is smart, cute, made from recycled materials and 100% recyclable when you're done with it.

Green Toys still offers the first products it began with including a tea set and bucket and shovel and their line now includes a chef set, jump rope, blocks, flying disc (aka frisbee), dump truck and, their newest toy, a firetruck (available for pre-order). For the toddler table are bowls and feeding utensils.

You can find Green Toys in plenty of online and bricks-and-mortar stores or order directly through Green Toys' online store.

We'd love these toys even if they weren't some of the greenest toys around.
