Happy Los Angeles

Straddling the border of where Los Feliz and Hollywood intersect, right across the street from our favorite mole burrito stand and next door to our local vinyl shop, is a small decor store whose personality and wares is aptly described by its name: Happy. Inside a colorful selection of wares include pillows, candles, vases, kitchen and barware and even a few crates of vinyl awaits to peruse, welcoming one and all.

Happy also plays a part in the local art scene, regularly showcasing works across their walls. Currently the architecturally themed lightbox artwork of Chelsea Dean adorns and illuminates the shop/gallery, with photographs showcasing the mid-century modern architecture of Rudolph Schindler, Richard Neutra and John Lautner.

The store takes pride in offering a variety of decor, garden and design wares that are handmade, fair trade or eco-friendly in nature. Mixed in are higher end pieces, serigraphs, glamorous starburst wall clocks, vintage items (oh how we love this Hermes typewriter) and even some clothing and jewelry, making Happy a "I'm in desperate need of a gift(s)!" sort of destination, where a friendly and helpful staff can solve your gift giving dilemma.

Make sure if you drop in, to mention Apartment Therapy sent you!
