Chicagoans are especially well trained to make the most of sunny summer days - our winters seemingly go on forever, so once things warm up, we are unstoppable…

… when it comes to enjoying the outdoors - we can lounge, bbq, and cocktail party with the best of them.

Our outdoor spaces get a workout, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't have style and luckily Chicago boasts a bit of a hidden treasure when it comes to outdoor furniture. One of the top names in international outdoor design has a US showroom right here in the Mart - it's Jardin de Ville.

Based in Quebec, Canada, Jardin de Ville is a family owned company with their designs installed in resort and hotel locations across the globe, from the Hotel St. James in Paris to the Hard Rock in Seattle. Their pieces embody a modern, relaxed luxury take on outdoor furniture - it's streamlined, design focused and well made.

Their upholstery fabrics are weather friendly but fashion forward, featuring bold patterns, colors of the moment and even a touch of the coming-on-strong gold metallics. Texture plays a big part in adding interest to the sleek, simple designs - from the seventies-chic rustic glam oversized woven aluminum pieces called Big Enuf to the space age-y silver mesh panels in the slightly retro-deco BG1 to the Flow line, by Danish designers Peter Hiort-Lorenzen and Johannes Foersom with an all over open work texture.
