As the air chills and leaves fall, there's nothing more comforting than the warmth of a knit hat, crocheted scarf, or cozy quilt. Whether you already knit or sew, or you're looking to learn, the staff is excited to help you discover your next project.
From the yarn bombed utility pole outside to the sunny window seat inside, there's a warmth to this charming neighborhood yarn store. Owners Jennifer Boyd (above), her mom Pat Boyd, and friend Genevieve Day opened JP Knit & Stitch in March as a store with community soul. These ladies are crazy about being crafty, and everything in the store was created by or for them. Love that pouf? How about Jennifer's necklace? They'll show you how to make it. For a knit novice, the selection is broad, but they'll happily help you navigate. A seasoned pro will be impressed, and new seasonal options come in regularly. A well-curated fabric selection includes everything from fleece to upholstery, from Amy Butler to Heather Bailey. And though they sell patterns, there's an iPad station to download & print freebies. To further your education, you can take knitting, crocheting & sewing classes from beginner to advanced. Want to gather, gab and get some rows done on your current project? There's free knitting & sewing circles on the calendar. Join the community that's making JP cozier, one hat at a time.
