It's rare to go into any traditional home in DC and not find an element of Swedish design. Clean, bright, and refreshingly simple — it's no wonder Swedish style is so popular in the DC area. Klaradal, which in Swedish means "clear valley" is situated in a historic 1878 farmhouse off the beaten path in Olney, Maryland, about 30 minutes from the city. Sue, the owner and visionary behind Klaradal, left the real estate world to set up shop after falling in love with Scandinavian style during her visits to Sweden and Estonia. Since then, her shop has become a hub for those seeking quality authentic Swedish pieces at reasonable prices...

In addition to Mora clocks and Gustavian furniture, the store also offers lighting, Scandinavian artwork, and a large selection of Swedish inspired gifts with prices beginning as low as $10.

To order pieces online or learn more about the shop, visit their website.
