Lotta Jansdotter

It is just us or does Lotta Jansdotter seem like the patron saint of current pattern design?

She's got it down...the hand-drawn quality of the line, the color, the textures of the fabrics. Her stuff is just so good. If you've ever had the chance to see the Japanese books based on her home and travel style you know she seems to live a well-designed and lovely life as well.

Lotta's products can be found in person in Chicago at The Swedish American Museum shop, the Sweden Shop and VIRTU. For the full line (and the books mentioned above) her site is the place to shop.

She recently made a move from San Francisco to NYC - it will be interesting to see how the new coast, new city and new climate will affect her design.

(As they say, great minds...We just clicked over to Prairie Mod - they have a Lotta post up today as well!)
