Midway Moving and Storage

Midway Moving and Storage

Midway Moving has been around since 1987 - it started with one truck and was located in owner Jerry Siegel's parents basement in Skokie.

As of last year, the number of trucks was at 170 and annual moves hit 15,000. In addition to the fleet, they have a storage facility built in 2004. They do local and long distance moves, storage and both private and mobile storage.

Some of Midway's Chicago cred: official movers for the Bulls, Suite Home Chicago and the Cows on Parade, sponsor of the Glass Slipper Project, CHA Holiday Dinner Party and a participant in the Kidstart program.

Below the jump, Midways estimates for in-town moves...

We heard about them from this commment from earlier this month AT:Chicago..."Midway Movers was great. Its not cheap but they didn't break or damage anything. We moved about 3 blocks in Bucktown but had to move out one day and move in the next. They kept our stuff on the truck at their storage facility overnight. I'd recommend them. Chris".

Anyone else have info to share on Midway? Please let us know in the comments below.

We are planning to feature Chicago movers all month long (August 07), so please feel free to add a comment below or send us an email with your recommendations so we can add them to our guide.
