When faced with buying a gift for our own child or a friend's we look for a store with plenty of selection, but without a big box store mentality. Moolka more than fits this bill. Its offerings are vast and primarily European brands. Not only will you find high quality items, but many that you haven't seen before or won't find in your local stores.

Moolka's search features have some of the most functionality we've seen in the kids' marketplace. You can search by age, brand or category (toys, furniture, etc.), but then you can refine within your search to find, say, musical instruments suitable for 1-year-olds. Our favorite way to browse Moolka is to go straight to "What's New" because we always find something that's truly new to us or that is otherwise unusual to find for sale in the U.S.

Below are links to items that caught our eye today:

Top Row:
1 Work Kitchen from EverEarth ($50)
2 Strawberry Villa by Le Toy Van ($170)
3 Ride on Dog by Scratch ($104)
4 Stitch-It Donkey Kit by Little Experience ($15)
5 Trojan Horse White by Kids on the Roof ($32)

Bottom row:

6 Train Station with Recordable Sound by Heros ($46.50)
7 Assorted Fruits and Vegetables by Plan Toys ($23.49)
8 Pure Junior Set with Tray by Kaloo ($40)
9 OSKARatWORK bench ($190) and table ($493) by Perludi
10 One Touch Beach Tent by Pacific Play Tents ($65)
