Room Service: Live With What You Love

The Andersonville neighborhood of Chicago has become a veritable home design mecca. Room Service, the three-year-old shop specializing in mid-century modern furnishings and accessories, is a must-see destination if you're planning to make the pilgrimage to the neighborhood.

Combining their almost 35 years of retail experience, partners Jim and Paul opened Room Service as a store that would offer a broad mix of items. From vintage to new, high end to affordable, Jim and Paul want Room Service to be the kind of store where you find the little treasures that make your home feel like your castle. When they say "live with what you love", they mean it.

And there is much to love at Room Service. Most of the furniture is vintage, mainly from the 1950s through 70s and, recently, with a little 1980s thrown in. The accessories and artwork are an equal mix of vintage and new. One recent addition to the store is the line of Linnea's Lights candles. Room Service is one of just a handful of stores in the Chicago region who sells these triple scented soy candles.
