  • Headquarters: London, England

Isabelle Palmer founded The Balcony Gardener because she wanted to make the most of her small balcony in North London; she wanted to create a space where she could "look, sit, relax and grow my own little bit of green in the city." From ready made container gardens to gardening tools and outdoor furniture, The Balcony Gardener has an array of products you can use to create a garden escape of your own.

Name/Title: Isabelle Palmer/Owner

Open/Launch Date: 2009

Inspiration for opening: Founder, Isabelle Palmer, lives in north London with two small balconies. She couldn't find anything online related that specialized in stylish products for small outdoor spaces so the idea for The Balcony Gardener was born.

Merchandise source: Isabelle looks for a mix of products by cool, young designers and stylish vintage items which can be re-purposed for urban gardeners. She sources from around the world and especially loves trawling through antique markets.

Best selling item: Vintage Dolly Tubs

Your favorite item: Our new range of neon coloured handmade furniture
