Warisan: Furniture that is Bali-wood...literally

warisan_logo.jpgThere are quite a few things that we like about Warisan on Beverly Blvd. First, it's open Sundays, which can be a real treat for this part of town.

warisan 004.jpgWarisan also specializes in restoring, and sometimes reinventing pieces from Bali, and much of their "Primitive Collection" is made from old teak planks salvaged from demolished buildings of the Colonial era in Indonesia.

We like this side table ($1,500) with a carved-out center that used to be for grinding herbs, but now seems perfect for a plant or loose change.

Most pieces in the store are made to order, although the store does have a limited inventory, including lighting and some good pieces for outside.
