How does a home’s style evolve throughout the years? It varies, of course, because some of us enjoy constantly changing our decor, while others like to get it to one look and keep it there. Because I asked Hope, of Hope and Pete’s Bohemian Modern Abode, to share what it’s like to live in one of the famed “Eichler Houses,” I had to ask her to send some updated photos of how their home has changed since we last toured it. Below: the side-by-side comparisons of how a home’s look has evolved over time!

Hope is the founder of the San Francisco boutique MARMALADE, and she shares this home with her husband Pete. In their house tour survey from a few years ago, they described their style as: “Rustic Bohemian with Mid Century Modern undertones.” Below, with the updated images Hope sent us alongside the images from their house tour, you can see their style is the same…just richer, more evolved and maybe even a little more dramatic.
