Simple Maple Bed: For a Good Night's Sleep

Simple Maple Bed: For a Good Night's Sleep

Cheap chipboard and lightweight bedmakers everywhere are trumped. So many of my clients have to store items under their beds (even though it is not good for the energy of your bedroom), that I have been looking for the nicest bed elevators available. Rather than plastic, I have been looking for sculptured wooden block (I know they exist). HOWEVER, I stumbled upon a better solution. These beds are manufactured by Pacific Rim and sold by Green Home, a remarkable marketplace/store for green products, and are high enough (14 1/2") to accomodate three rolling drawers beneath. In addition, these beds are THE BEST for you, your children and the earth:

"Each piece is hand-rubbed with a finish of tung oil and pure beeswax to highlight the natural beauty of this distinctive Maple hardwood. They are free of toxic glues, formaldehyde and particle board and considered environmentally safe for your children's bedroom and nursery."

And then there is the price. While more expensive than a futon frame on Broadway, these are reasonably priced at $425 for a Queen (but shipping will run you another $216, doh!) and $90 per drawer. Other styles are available. You have less reason now to buy a cheap bed that you will soon throw out. MGR

*thanks to Finn for price correction...
