This painting studio in Amagansett, New York is a 840 square foot building on the lot of an existing home. To save cost and keep the structure simple and functional, architect Dalton Portella of Maziar Behrooz Architecture used 2 shipping containers as the jumping off point of the design.
The studio is open and receives a great deal of natural light due to large windows and the double-height portion of the space. In addition to studio space, the small building includes storage and a lounge area with views of the surrounding trees.
