Simple Solution: Bulletin Board Substitute

Simple Solution: Bulletin Board Substitute

Like many of you, I don't have a separate home office. My office is sliced off the end of my living room, a three foot sliver behind the couch at the far end of the space. Since it's always on dispay, there's no room for clutter and there's also no room for much of anything else so I've had to improvise. I knew I needed someplace to hang stuff up but how the heck was I going to incorporate a bulletin board?

The solution was, literally, staring me in the face. The credenza I use as a desk is pushed up against the back of the couch. Why not use the back of my couch as my bulletin board? Shallow thumbtacks hold items in place without marring the fabric and I'm able to hang stuff up. It's a solution that solves my problem simply.

How do you solve the dilemma of having a desk that's out in the open for everyone to see?
