Nothing says, "partay!" like some chilled wine on tap. Ok, but seriously, this little gizmo is pretty nifty if you've got $400 to $1k to spend on sommelier inclinations.
The Skybar is a wine system that chills, pours and preserves your Chardonnays or Pinots. Pop a bottle in and it will suck out all the oxygen so your opened vino is preserved for up to 10 days. You can then choose from 9 pre-programmed temperature settings to ensure that your select vintage is sitting in the proper climate.
Then, similar to getting a Slurpee at the corner 7-Eleven (only kind of kidding), place your glass under the spigot, press a button, and a perfectly chilled wine pours out without letting any air back into the bottle. The system comes in two options -- a one bottle chiller for $400 and a three bottle version for $1,000. It's pricey, but for those serious about their wines, it may be a sound investment. Any oenophiles out there who've had experience with this or have any opinions on this kind of set-up?
