Lovely Little Loos: Small Bathrooms with Big Style

Many of the bathrooms we see profiled in magazines and websites are downright cavernous. Double sinks, walk-in showers, the odd chair in the corner. It's fun to dream. But what if your bathroom is small. Don't fret. It is possible to have a lovely, inviting and stylish bathroom without a mansion. With a little strategic space planning, built-in cabinets, smaller sinks, lots of mirrors, and a few other tricks, you can make your small bathroom feel less claustrophobic.

1 The wall-mounted sink and sunken medicine chest are great solutions for a small bathroom. From HGTV
2 A small bathroom in London, designed by Celia James via Houzz. The mirrors make the space look larger and the storage cabinet beneath the sink stands on legs so the floor sweeps under it.
3 Rachael Smith Photography via Desire to Inspire. I love the tile and the cool mirror in this small space.
4 All this marble and glass make the bathroom feel less cramped. Retrouvious via Desire to Inspire.
5 JL Sprinkelbug. What a great little sink and vanity. And that modern compact toilet is a great space-saver.

6 Lauren Bradshaw via Design Sponge. Dark walls doen't necessarily make a small bathroom seem smaller!
7 A small 5x7 bathroom was renovated to make better use of the space. A new rounded sink occupies less space and the entire wall above the sink was made into one big mirror. The medicine cabinet, which once jutted out, was built into what had been a jog in the wall to the right of the sink. Sunset.
