Did someone order a trailer for one that stands out (in a good way) and makes its occupant the envy of solo campers everywhere? This eye-catching teardrop trailer from Polydrops Inc. easily meets all three requirements and then some.

Before being marketed to the masses, the cozy spot on wheels started out as a mobile study space for its architectural designer Kyung-Hyun Lew.

Clad in skinned aluminum and wood, the Polygon trailer weighs in at a meager 760 pounds and measures 12.4 feet long, which makes it super convenient to tow – even in a four-cylinder vehicle. Although tiny in stature, the Polygon’s edgy exterior guarantees that it doesn’t blend into the shadows of its counterparts.

On the inside of the small insulated compartment, there may not be much wiggle room but that doesn’t take away from the comfort. A 48″ x 75″ mattress that sleeps two occupies the bulk of the space along with three storage sections. To ward off cabin fever, the trailer has gull wing doors plus it’s equipped with roof ventilation to assist with air circulation.

While the trailer doesn’t offer much in the way meal prep accommodations, there is a tiny kitchenette at the rear that contains cabinets and a couple of storage drawers.

On the technical side, the Polydrop design prioritizes safety, thanks to the inclusion of features like its hydraulic disc brake, independent suspension and glo-light tail lights. It also goes off-the-grid with the assistance of a solar charging system that supports the heater, USB outlets, LED lights and a 12V outlet, which are all controlled via a single panel located inside the cabin.

Currently, Polydrops’ 20 limited edition 2019 models go for $9,000 each, however that price is set to increase to $13,000 during the next production phase.
