One of the most inspiring moments here on Apartment Therapy was walking into Gregory's home and realizing how brilliant his use of space was in his apartment. Technically a one bedroom but more like a studio with some extra weird shaped rooms, Gregory and Emily masterminded their floor plan and made every inch count.
For instance: instead of putting in a dining room table where the apartment seemed to be asking for one, they were able to fit their bed, freeing up the whole 'bedroom' area for a living room. And since they love to entertain it made more sense to use the larger space with the grand views of Silver Lake for their living room instead of shoving it into the space closest to the kitchen.
Two of the weird small spaces were turned into offices (because they're very conscientious about what they buy and therefore don't have a ton of stuff to store they didn't need to use these spaces for storage). This way, even in a small space they each have a place to retreat to in order to get work done and have a space of their own.
How have you rethought your floorplan?
