You Can Buy Snowe’s Latest Launch Exclusively Through Apartment Therapy
Snowe has been an Apartment Therapy favorite for a while (our founder, Maxwell Ryan, is a big fan of their sheets). So we were excited to collaborate with the company on their latest launch: a stylish, portable outdoor blanket that can go just about everywhere.
The blanket is small enough to fold up and toss in your bag, but oversized enough that it will keep you covered on the go. And, like with all Snowe products, the piece feels like a basic without feeling, ya know, basic. The color-blocked design keeps it from being boring, but is subtle enough you can pair it with almost any style. Made in Portugal, it’s super soft and machine washable.
Since we never like to recommend products we don’t truly love, here are some places we’ve already taken the blankets—putting the versatility claims to the test.
On A Picnic
Yes, just about any blanket can be a picnic blanket, but we loved that this is thick and sturdy enough that you don’t have to worry about tearing it on whatever ground you might be dining on (even rough or rocky terrain). We took it to the beach with another Snowe favorite, their oversized beach towel, and the quick-drying construction means its easy to shake and go at the end of the day.
On The Bed
Yes, it’s technically an outdoor blanket, but it’s soft enough to use indoors, too. (Get you a blanket that can do both—and preferably one you throw in the washing machine in between.) In the summer, when you want the benefits of a soft blanket without overheating, we’ve loved keeping it at the foot of the bed or thrown over the couch for relaxing after work or on Saturdays with a good book or Netflix. And speaking of keeping warm in summer A/C…
In The Office
Here it is, spotted in the wilds of the AT offices. Whether or not the our office is a cool summer retreat from hot city temps or a frozen tundra is a topic up for debate on a daily basis. Those who declare it way too cold, however, have been taking advantage of the outdoor blanket for indoor warmth. Not as bulky as regular throws, it can be folded up when not in use, and used as a lap blanket or shawl when teeth get chattering.
On The Train
And while you’re going from office to beach to home, this makes a great travel blanket. We road-tested it on an early morning train from Philadelphia to New York, and the generous size was big enough to cuddle up under. Again, the super-soft, thick-but-not-too-thick construction was key, and the blanket, once it got back to NYC, was ready to be dispatched on its next adventure.
