This time of year it can be hard to know which end is up when it comes to the sea of spectacular holiday crafts. There's so many to chose from, but one of our recent favorites are these easy to make sock bats. They're the perfect way to use up those stray ones floating around in your drawer. Click through for project details...

Here's the list of materials needed to get started with this project, although we're pretty sure you could substitute stick on foam eyes or paint pens if you're anti hot glue:

* Black Sock
* Batting
* Black and white crafts foam
* Two black pipe cleaners
* Glue gun and hotmelt adhesive
* Scissors
* Pencil
* Safety pin

Although the list of materials says to stuff these little guys with batting (bah dum ching), we're pretty sure that shredded paper might work as well. Plus, you'd get some junk mail out of the house! Check out Parents weblog tutorial on making this cute critter come to life!
