As the Fall Cure progresses on the AT city sites, we're pretty sure those of you who are involved have been doing your fair share of purging. Hopefully as you go through your closets, all the unwanted clothes are either being reused for other purposes or donated to thrift stores.
But what about unwanted shoes? They can go to thrift stores, or you could send them somewhere else ...
Soles4Souls is a charity that collects gently worn shoes and distributes them to those in need.
If you're anything like us, you surely have a pair or two lying around -- they seemed like a good idea at the time; but, for whatever reason, you only wore them twice. Well, bundle those pairs up and either drop them at a participating location or send them to a Soles4Souls warehouse.
Soles4Souls coordinated the donation of over 1 million shoes for the Asian Tsunami and Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. We think that's really impressive, important work.
