Christine wrote in to share the wonderful kitchen she made for her daughter Sophie. It's based on this one (aka "the kitchen that launched a thousand kitchens") as it also starts with Ikea's rast nightstand. But Christine made it all her own with paint, paper, fabric and kitchen accessories
With help from her friend Orion and his power tools she fleshed out the Rast to include shelves, a backsplash, space for a sink and a door. Then, inspired by 50's diners, Christine added retro-feeling "wall" paper and fabric as well as hooks and knobs (that turn!). We especially like her smart idea for creating mini salt and pepper shakers. See more photos and read about the details of this $50ish play kitchen at Christine's blog Craft By Night.
Thanks for adding to all the play kitchen inspiration, Christine!
