Spring Wreath/Crown: Celebrate Spring, Celebrate Mom

Oh, the loveliness. I thought my spring dresses were missing a little something (besides warm weather) — a delicate floral crown, of course! And one wreath to hang on my front door, and one to adorn the base of a cakestand holding a simple spring cake, and one wreath to encircle a cluster of candles for an outdoor dinner on a rare warm evening… I better start wreathing, quick.

Katherine Anderson is the owner of Marigold & Mint farm, and flower columnist for Garden Design Magazine. She created an especially lovely tutorial for floral wreaths & crowns, perfect for Mother's Day or any springtime festivities. I appreciate that the wreaths can either be grand and dramatic, as with the large white lilies, or tiny and delicate, using only a small amount of spring blossoms. If you're hosting a brunch, this would be an idyllic project for guests to try their hand at as they sip mimosas...
