Take Advantage of the Space Underneath You Monitor and Clear the Clutter

I've got a pretty shallow desk, just small enough to squeeze into a closet. And even though I've wall mounted my computer monitor and have all my daily office essentials tucked away as clutter-free as possible, I'm always on the hunt for solutions to further optimize space efficiency. This new Quirky sponsored design, the Stashboard, definitely appeals to my small space sensibilities, taking advantage of the space just underneath iMac and Thunderbolt Display users screens...

The Stashboard is a clear plastic frame designed to attach directly the iMac or Apple Display stand, using soft rubber grips. Upon installing, users are afforded an additional shelf, a perfect place for an external hard drive, a place to store the keyboard when not in use, or even a place to keep your smartphone. The Quirky sponsored product is in the preliminary phases to test the water's of the public's interest, so head over to this page to share what you'd pay for such a product.

But you don't have to wait for a concept to come to market. You can already take advantage of the other side of the screen using products like the AluBase ($49.95), designed to accommodate for the MacBook Pro, MacBook Pro with Retina display and MacBook Air in a secure position, or the TwelveSouth BackPack for additional shelving space.

There's also the space immediately under your monitor to put to use. The LowKey Stand is a powder-coated platform capable of holding up to 35lbs, while also providing a measured cubby slot, partnered with a 4-port USB 2.0 hub up front.
