Something that I care a lot about is color theory — how color affects our mood and psychology. That’s why you see blue in a lot of hospitals.

I think that having maybe three colors as your color palette lets you play with each room a little bit more.

Favorite Element

My favorite changes I’ve made are the 60’ of shelving in the dining space and the abundance of color.

Biggest Challenge:

The biggest challenge has been spending just under half of my income on rent (but living alone is more than worth it!).

Proudest DIY

I found the yellow dresser on the curb, and spent a few weeks restoring it over the summer. Six months later, I found the swan-like mirror in the exact same spot.

Biggest Indulgence

The tambour media cabinet, living room rug, and Matisse lithograph were the pieces I have spent the most money on.

A perfect day for me is finding something new in my apartment to work on. I’m always somehow painting a wall or a door. Design is never finished.
