How to Make a DIY Wood Wick Candle

Step 1

Use a double boiler setup to melt soy wax flakes.

Step 2

Cut two wood wicks down the center, leaving an inch uncut. Assemble two together, secure onto universal wick clip, and stick to the bottom of a glass jar.

Step 3

Once the wax has reached 185°F, add a few drops of fragrance and stir to mix.

Step 4

Remove from heat and let cool until wax is 135°F.

Step 5

Pour wax into the prepared jar and let it cool overnight.

Step 6

Trim the excess so the wick is ¼ inch. Then light to enjoy!
