How to Make Marble Concrete Planters

Marble them, create an ombre stack, go two-tone. You really can’t go wrong with this foolproof project, and they’re ridiculously fun to make.

You’ll need:

Protect yourself and your work space. Wear gloves and protective eyewear. Cover your work space with plastic.

Mix together concrete and water. The mixture should look like cake batter.

Add color pigment to some of the white concrete. Only mix as much as you need as it hardens quickly.

Pour the concrete into the silicon mold, alternating between colors to create a marbled look.

Tap to remove air bubbles.

Use a chopstick to remove any excess and smooth out the concrete. Tap to level.

Let dry overnight and then remove the silicone mold.

Smooth edges with sanding sponge. For planters, seal the interior.

Use as a planter or fill with wax to make a candle.
