Stripes in Every Room: Repeats Bring A Home Together

A friend of ours will be crashing at our house while we're away. She knows we've been jonesing to make some changes to our home. I'll take care of that!, she offered. We wouldn't be surprised to return to find our walls painted with stripes, her signature motif. Or, she can take a clue from this home; it uses stripes in some form in every room but in a completely different way!

Stripes, primarily in black and white, repeat in every room, tying this home together. Whether on rugs, pillows, cushions, towels, the classic pattern is clean and graphic in every space. If you have a favorite pattern, try repeating it in your home in different rooms in various guises. It's a simple way to tie a home together and make it feel bigger; in the mind, everything becomes strung together.
