Got a super-thin TV you've custom picked from a select crop of LED TVs at your local electronic store - only to find that it's slightly over-sized for your tiny media cabinet? Looks like it's time to get some drill action going, and guess what? We're here to help you get the flushest wall mount possible for your new TV. Here's a few of the slimmest mounts available on the market today.
- Vizio Quick Install Slim LED Wall Mount ($87): Coming in at 1" thin, you can place your 32" to 55" HDTV up to 100 pounds on this modern mount without fear of having it become a distraction.
- Samsung WMN1000B Fixed Low-Profile Wall Mount ($224): While it's limited to select Samsung models at 40" to 55", this 0.6" mount is probably as thin as you're going to get if you're really looking for a sleek mount.
- SIIG Ultra-Thin LED/LCD TV Mount ($112): This one has the looks of some of the more traditional mounts we've seen, but has the perk of allowing almost any size TV to be mounted (32" to 55").
- Peerless Ultra-Slim Articulating Mount ($325): If you happen to own one of Samsung's C9000 series TVs, you can get an articulated wall mount to show off how thin that 0.3" bad boy really is.
Unfortunately, if you've stepped up to the 60"-70" screen size bracket, we recommend getting a professional to wall mount your TV since most of the mounts available are custom anyway if you want the best fit. The last thing you want is your $3000+ bad boy accidentally taking out your dry wall and a plunge to no return. That's not to say there are a few available out there that claim to be 'universal'.
However, if you do plan to make it a DIY project, be sure to use a power drill, get those dry wall anchors in nice and tight, and double check everything before finally putting it up!
Got a recommendation? We'd love to hear it!
