We blogged the mother of this chair, the Supernatural side chair last year, and now a child is born. Ross Lovegrove's new chair for Moroso debuted in Milan a few weeks back and is made with the same hi-tech process: injection moulding in glass fibre reinforced polyamide, which makes it superlight, superstrong and stackable...

Lovegrove's "fat-free" approach to furniture design is elegantly described below...

"The Supernatural family of chairs is an approach to lightening the mass of the material to achieve a weight of no more than 2.5-3.2 kilos. The form with its anatomical liquid lines originates directly from the way polymer wishes to flow inside a mould then cool to cure and form a rigid yet elastic dynamic structure" – Ross Lovegrove
