While it's a completely different animal of "green" than we're generally used to, this concept by Andrej Statskij sure has got us both scratching our chins and heads in curiosity and interest. The idea is by placing a low profile plant that genetically doesn't grow outward as much as it grows upward, you can essentially create a plant pot within a media stand without it snagging or being much of a nuisance. Unless you try to water it, in which case we imagine you'd have to go through the trouble of dragging the darn thing out to feed it...
The concept is called "GREEN = TECH," which combines glass or acrylic furniture with natural or artificial plants / box-trees in a unique products where furniture and plants have common design idea and even form of furniture and plants correspond to the each other.
While adding a TV right down the middle would probably be a bad idea, using it as a dedicated stand for your amplifier / receiver might actually be an effective way of infusing your space with a subtle touch of natural art sculpture. Or, as Andrej or the zen masters across the world like to say, "Where furniture and plants can not exist without each-other." Yeah. We like the sound of that.
