This Sustainable Candle Has a Terracotta Vase That Doubles as a Planter
Lighting your favorite candle brings so much joy, but every time you use it, you know you’re shortening its lifespan. But there’s a new candle that will live on well after the wax is gone—it doubles as a terracotta planter once it’s empty.
If you’re already in the habit of cleaning out old candle containers to reuse them as makeup brush older or match storage, you’ll love that Los Angeles-based candle company P.F. Candle Co.’s new line of scents called Terra (named after the container that it sits in) is designed specifically for that purpose. Not only does the terracotta container look nice and is practical, but it’s ideal for people who look for sustainable packaging.
The vase is made 100% all natural ingredients, and the compact size is ideal for small space living. P.F. Candle Co. has a history of keeping an eye on eco-friendly practices with its candles; it uses soy wax and participates in a renewable energy program.
The collection is made up of seven scents: Geranium (rose, citrus, geranium, and palmarosa), Juniper (pine, fir, cedarwood, juniper berries), Lavender (Bulgarian and English lavender), Night-Blooming Jasmine (leafy greens, jasmine, marigold, clove), Olive (cedarwood, cypress, orange, olive oil), Rosemary (thyme, parsley, Moroccan rosemary, sage), and Western Red Cedar (clary sage, black pepper, coriander, and cedar).
All of the scents, which retail for $30, come with the terracotta vase. Sure, you can also use it as a brush holder or storage, but we’d prefer the plant option. Call us biased plant parents.
