Sustainable Tables from New Makers

New Makers creates sustainable and modern Asian-inspired furniture designs that are clean and unique. Using renewable woods like acacia, rubber wood, coconut and black palm wood harvested near their factories, most of their products are flat packed for easy shipping. Here are two tables that really caught our eye:

Shown above the jump, from left to right:

Wildfire Side Table: the Wildfire Side Table is constructed from randomly laminated acacia wood strips in various color tones and finished with natural oil for a food safe finish. The ends of the table are left uncut making each piece unique, and rustic. A similar table has been featured on Re-Nest before. (See How To Make A Scrap Wood Table.)

Bamboo Folding Trestle Legs: these folding bamboo trestle legs are made from bamboo and finished with a clear lacquer. The bamboo supports are connected by thick leather straps fixed in place b solid metal fittings. The legs pack flat for easy transport.
