Location: Santa Monica, CA
Our home is a 800Sqft , 1940's apartment nestled in the back garden of a house in Santa Monica. I love everything about my place! It's got beautiful, original thin wood floors, old pane windows that let the light stream in and a lovely secluded balcony to sit out on at any time of the year.
My interior design aesthetic fits perfectly with the style of the home. My design motto is "less is more" , i'd rather have my home sparsely decorated with carefully chosen pieces of high quality and good design over a space filler any day! - hence the lack of a coffee table. ;)
The living room is my favorite space in the house; every morning I walk in and can't believe its all ours! I have a soft spot for the sofa, which is an original Danish, Mid-century modern double daybed, it was the first piece of furniture we ever bought, and set the tone for the style of the house in general. The Noguchi floor lamp is also very special, it was given to me when I first moved to LA, it has a tear on the side, but I don’t mind.
